“Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation was instrumental in helping my family navigate this difficult journey.”
“This past June my father, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. You were an invaluable resource in understanding his diagnosis and helping us get a second opinion through the University of Chicago. My father is doing remarkably well with treatment so far, and we are very grateful for all your help.”
“My dad never wanted to make his battle with pancreatic cancer about himself. He believed in the power of sharing stories, and was all about helping others. Giving back is our family’s way to honor him and keep his legacy alive.”
“I lost my mom 12 years ago to pancreatic cancer. She was, in otherwise, perfect health. As president of Rolfe Foundation, I am fighting for her, and I am fighting for our future generations.”
The challenges of the disease are considerable, but a strong support network—including family, friends and the Rolfe Foundation —can help you. Whether it’s a spouse, family member, or friend, finding someone who may be able to accompany you to doctor visits, and to whom you can talk seriously and honestly about your treatment options and plan, can be an important part of your medical process.
As part of our mission to provide resources for pancreatic cancer patients and their families, the Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation provides funding for several Chicago-area support groups, which you can find information about below. You can also find information about a variety of national cancer support services, all of which the Rolfe Foundation has found to be helpful for patients and caregivers in the past.
Many of these services provide access to survivors of pancreatic cancer, who can share valuable insight into whatever questions you may have about treatment, health, nutrition, and recovery.
