“Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation was instrumental in helping my family navigate this difficult journey.”
“This past June my father, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. You were an invaluable resource in understanding his diagnosis and helping us get a second opinion through the University of Chicago. My father is doing remarkably well with treatment so far, and we are very grateful for all your help.”
“My dad never wanted to make his battle with pancreatic cancer about himself. He believed in the power of sharing stories, and was all about helping others. Giving back is our family’s way to honor him and keep his legacy alive.”
“I lost my mom 12 years ago to pancreatic cancer. She was, in otherwise, perfect health. As president of Rolfe Foundation, I am fighting for her, and I am fighting for our future generations.”
Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation welcomes Michael Sheinkop as our new Board President and Jami Sharfman as Vice President. With their deep connections to the Rolfe community and unwavering dedication to our mission, Michael and Jami bring fresh energy and ideas to the Foundation as it enters into its next chapter.
A Unified Vision
Michael Sheinkop has been a part of the Rolfe Board for over 14 years, driven by a personal connection to the cause. “My wife Rachel’s mom and my uncle Jerry both passed away from Pancreatic Cancer. We knew we needed to get involved to help others avoid this terrible disease,” he shares. Similarly, Jami’s involvement with Rolfe began in 2017 when two loved ones were diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. “My job became doing everything I could to make their lives easier, better, and longer,” she says.
As leaders, Michael and Jami’s priorities align closely. Both are focused on board development, aiming to recruit new members, enhance education, and energize existing members. “Michael and I hope to match people with activities and tasks that excite them most, energizing the board as a whole,” Jami explains. Michael echoes this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of elevating each of the Foundation’s pillars and enhancing the Rolfe brand to sustain and expand its mission.
Their shared commitment extends to Rolfe’s core initiatives. Michael highlights the Foundation’s ability to provide immediate support to families affected by Pancreatic Cancer, saying, “We’ve developed a network of relationships and knowledge that we constantly leverage for the greater good.” Jami is particularly passionate about funding emerging researchers, adding, “I believe these brilliant scientists will ultimately improve outcomes for this hideous disease.”
“Our previous leadership laid a strong foundation, and I’m so grateful for Jim Rolfe’s and Kevin Braude’s dedication and vision,” says Stacia Hart, Rolfe’s Executive Director. “I’m thrilled to partner with Michael and Jami as we build on that legacy. Their passion and commitment will propel us forward, ensuring Rolfe continues to make an impact—one family, one breakthrough, one moment at a time.”
As we look ahead, we are inspired by the incredible leadership of Michael and Jami, and we’re excited to continue making progress in our mission. Together, with your support, we will keep fighting for a future where Pancreatic Cancer is no longer a silent killer.
